Mystique, posing as SHIELD agent Phil Coulson, gained the trust of Dazzler, the newly appointed mutant liaison of SHIELD. She managed to drug Dazzler’s coffee, which incapacitated the former X-Man and put her into a coma. Mystique later used Dazzler as the source material for the mutant growth hormone, keeping Dazzler heavily medicated and unconscious for months.
