Aphra betrayed Darth Vader by divulging his secret activities to Emperor Palpatine. To her surprise, the Emperor was proud of Darth Vader’s antics — praising them as traits of a true Sith.
If I recall correctly, Vader tried to kill Aphra several times in the past already but she always found a way to convince him not to push through. Looks like her luck’s run out. Shame, she was starting to grow on me as a character. I was actually expecting her to be rescued in the end or something, maybe in the latter issues perhaps?
