Superman shows that he can easily take down Green Lantern Hal Jordan anytime he turns serious. Sure, Hal wasn’t really in a fighting mood and was trying to pacify Superman, but the most telling thing in this fight was that Superman can steal the Green Lantern ring from Hal’s finger anytime he wanted. I always figured the ring has an automatic protection for that, like requiring the person to have enormous will power same as the Green Lantern. But nope, Superman just yoinks it away with his super speed.
