The reason why Spider-Man’s giving Deadpool a hug is because the Merc with a Mouth saved Spider-Man from killing Itsy Bitsy — a creature with both of their powers who was going around New York city killing in Spidey’s name. Deadpool broke his streak of not killing anyone to spare his friend Spidey from having to do it himself.
