Michonne’s ex-husband died along the way, and her other daughter was killed by a group of nasty men who demanded “something” in exchange for their protection. Not hard to guess what they demanded from a pair of girls. Michonne’s surviving daughter, Elodie, did what they wanted but somehow managed to avenge her sister by killing them all. She really is Michonne’s daughter after all.
