The Kingpin has someone, Smedley Kornfeld, under his payroll to be used as evidence of his demise in case he ever needs it. Smedley spends his days with unlimited food and plays video games under a secret bunker in the Kingpin’s fortress. His body has been modified to mimic the Kingpin’s DNA and his dental records altered.
