I believe this was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Spider-Man. He sided with Iron Man despite his misgivings and this just blew everything up for him. He would turn and side with Captain America after this little visit to the prison.
And is it just me, or was one of the prisoners wearing Saitama’s costume?
