For the past few years Mystique has been written very poorly by Marvel. Her actions makes no sense and she seems to just do things without any long term planning. It’s like Marvel’s just using her as a convenient plot device when they need something to happen, or if they need a credible villain for an issue. There’s just no logical explanation for her actions. Glad that they’re at least making a credible reason for all that.
