Some background info here:
- Mister Fantastic and his family are exploring different universes and the Thing has no idea where they are, or if they’re even alive after the events of Secret War.
- Victor Von Doom has turned a new leaf and is now running around as the Infamous Iron Man. The Thing has been assigned by SHIELD to apprehend him.
- We later find out that this Reed Richards is actually Mephisto in disguise.
