I remember being so giddy when R2-D2 made an appearance in the Star Wars Legacy series. Although by now he should be close to 200 years of age? Despite getting upgrades, wouldn’t he be considered extremely ancient in terms of tech?
I also like the subtle nod to Anakin Solo’s lightsaber that he made using a Yuuzhan Vong lambent as the crystal.
