After stealing Spider-man’s body, Otto Octavius visits one of his old laboratories and is attacked by his own security defenses. I guess he forgot that since he’s no longer projecting his old body’s heartbeat, voice and mechanical arms, the lab considered him an intruder. Quite an irony for him to have his first battle as the Superior Spider-Man.
