For all the shit that Maria Hill gave Cyclops did for protecting the mutants, she went above and beyond in the villain’s playbook by using a fragment of the cosmic cube to re-write their lives and give them new identities. And when the plan goes awry when a few of the villains managed to break free, Maria Hill chooses to hide behind legal loopholes in order to avoid going to jail, or giving up her position as head of SHIELD.
