Batman seeks the aid of Wonder Woman to restore his friend Waylon Jones, who has been transformed into a crocodile. Believing that a magical solution exists, Wonder Woman brings Batman to a mythic realm to confront the centaur Akrolis, a guardian said to possess an artifact capable of reversing the transformation. During their battle, Batman is wounded by an arrow while attempting to protect Wonder Woman, allowing her to defeat Akrolis. After returning home, Batman realizes that the artifact he sought was the very arrow that struck him.
