Events can be tricky since they share a lot of characteristics with story arcs. One thing to remember about events is that they’re usually bigger in terms of scope and promotion. Whenever an event happens within Marvel or DC Comics, you know something grand is about to occur. During an event, it will generate its own limited series that tells the main story while at the same time having story arcs in any comic series that’s connected to the event.
