Back in the bad old days — off in the future I come from — when I thought every baddie I ever fought was crashin’ into the X-mansion — you were right there, front and center, with the rest of ’em. It was Mysterio’s doing. He was messing with my mind. Making my friends look like villains… like you. At the start of the fight, I kept my demons inside. Until I finally put you down. And that’s when I really lost it.
Like without you — without the mad dog I could always compare myself to and say — at least I ain’t an animal like that — once you were gone — I moved in to fill the void. And that’s when I killed the rest of them.
