This is usually brought up by Cyclops’s detractors as an example of how he doesn’t balk at using innocent kids as soldiers. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of course. Mine is that Cyclops did not explicitly tell Idie to straight up kill those Hellfire club henchmen. Yes, he knows her tragic history and fragile state and the front lines is the farthest place she should be at, but what choice did he have? All of the X-men were incapacitated and close to 100 civilians were going die if someone didn’t act. Wolverine can go act all high and mighty but bottom line is he dropped the ball. He was supposed to be there as well and he blew off his assignment to go on some bar and drink. His presence may or may not have turned the tide against the Hellfire club, but he certainly isn’t in a position to get mad at Cyclops.
