While Emma Frost certainly is materialistic, she does have a soft side and we sometimes see that with her interactions with Nightcrawler. As a man of God, he seems to bring out the best in her despite the cold and uncaring persona she projects to the rest of the world. They’re probably one of the greatest odd pairings out there and it works. During Nightcrawler’s funeral, she would admit that his was the only chapel she ever set foot on.
