I think this is a great step forward for Cyborg. His character has always been stuck in the half-man half machine story, or being one of the casualties during a fight. I mean, how many times have you seen his arm torn off during major battles or a piece of him being disintegrated? With this new power he can at least walk among normal humans without turning heads.
The technology isn’t even that far off. If he can create boom tubes and all sorts of advanced weaponry, surely there’s a way to mask or project an illusion couldn’t be too hard? Kinda like that hologram choker Nightcrawler uses to change his appearance whenever he goes out of the X-men mansion.
