Rick Grimes tries his best to explain to Dwight why toppling a government, even one that seems dictatorial, would be messy, and that the civilian population would be the first to pay the price. Just goes to show that Rick isn’t a great leader just because he kills zombies good, but how he sees the bigger picture. It’s certainly earned the respect of Mercer, one of the strongest warriors in the Commonwealth.
