Nightwing found himself in a bit of a pickle when Neron, a lord of Hell, dangled some meta-human powers in front of him. These powers came with the sweet deal of flight, super strength, and speed – at least, those were the ones you could see in the comics. Neron’s offer had one condition: Nightwing had to hand over Olivia Desmond, crime boss Roland Desmond’s daughter, who is better known as Blockbuster.
With just a couple of hours on his hands, Nightwing leaped into action to help his pals, the Teen Titans, fend off a demon attack. After that, he hung out with his best buddy Wally West, also known as the Flash, in a speed showdown. Together, they dismantled an illegal dam in Thailand. Then, Dick took to the skies and flew to Metropolis to surprise Superman. Turns out, he’d always wanted to shake hands with Clark Kent without the latter worrying about crushing it. Superman then whisked Nightwing into space for a breathtaking view of Earth. According to the Man of Steel, a little perspective now and then reminds heroes why they do what they do.
So, it turned out to be just another day in the life of Dick Grayson, where he put his powers to good use. Who knows what Neron was thinking when he tried to tempt Grayson of all people?
