Magog’s very first appearance in the DC universe is in the limited series Kingdom Come. He then appeared on the regular continuity and join the Justice Society of America. Here is his origin story for the New 52. We learn that he was a kid who lost his family in Darkseid’s attack on Earth, where the Justice League first banded together.
