I played the game first then read the comics, so I’ve always been puzzled on Harley Quinn’s stance on the Joker. See, in the game she welcomed the Joker from the different Earth with open arms when he appeared on her Earth. So I didn’t think much of it. Then on the 5 year comic series she became a sort of anti-hero, siding with Batman and the insurgents. There was a period where she questioned her previous behavior and it was hard to see her as the accomplice that helped the Joker level Metropolis with a nuke, not to mention help kill Lois Lane.

With that in mind, I wanted to see what made her discard all her progress and join up with Joker again in the game. With the Ground Zero series, which is still the Injustice series but set in the same time as the game itself, we finally get to peek into her thought process. And I have to say it’s not a perfect excuse, but I’m at least satisfied. She relapsed.
