Nice imagination there of using Clayface. Not sure though if it’s because Batman wants to be protected from turning into a monster as well, or if the suit gives him the extra strength to take on a venom-transformed Gotham Girl.
For those who missed the first 7 issues of Detective Comics Volume 3, Clayface is now one of the good guys. He gets recruited by Batman and given the whole redemption and making a difference speech. Plus Batman promised to help him with his condition.
