Ra’s al Ghul incurs the wrath of General Zod after the former cuts through the bottled city of Kandor. It was an uneven match and Ra’s would certainly have been decapitated by the Kryptonian until Batman intervened. Using his own memories of the pain from his parents’ death, Batman was able to reach through Zod and convinced him to spare Ra’s. Batman would later comment that his saving of Ra’s life embarrassed the Demon’s Head.
