He infused the two bullets his wife, Maria Castle, had shot into him and unleashed their combined energy upon himself. As a result, his physical form vanished, prompting Wolverine to inquire about his fate. Doctor Strange cryptically replied, “He’s no longer in this plane of existence” and declared that “The Punisher is no more.”
In the epilogue, it is revealed that the Punisher still exists, albeit in an unexpected setting. He finds himself mysteriously transported to Weirdworld, where he assumes the role of caretaker for a group of children.
