This arc was nicely written and resolves a lot of the lingering issues, but personally I like it better when Superman and Lois from before the New 52 happened were their own persons. Somehow having the souls or essence of the dead New 52 Superman and Lois Lane merge with their counterparts seems a bit… easy. Just like that we just combine all their histories together? Feels like a cop out to me.

And what would Wally West say to this? He’s a stranger to this world as well and the only ones who know him are the Titans (no explanation yet how they can be New 52 characters and still remember a non-New 52 individual) and Superman. Does he need to be combined with his New 52 counter part as well? What about all the Green Lanterns and all other lanterns of the color spectrum? The New 52 reboot didn’t touch them either — does this mean the emotional spectrum somehow kept their pre-New 52 personas intact?

  1. As more of a fan of the New 52 Superman, this really saddened me. Not only is there now no hope of him returning, but it seems that no one will remember him. Feels like all he did was for nothing and all the New 52 comics(atleast the ones he was in) becoming non-canon.
