This felt like it came out of nowhere. Sure, the Atlantean council has always been uneasy with Aquaman’s progressive stance regarding the surface world. But I would have liked that they introduced the plot to take him down in the previous issues. Right now it’s like Aquaman defeated the Shaggy Man, Warhead and Dead Water then boom – deposed!
