Well my theory of Soranik Natu being influenced by the Sinestro Corps ring is still possible. The safeguard John Stewart installed in the Yellow battery only prevents a Sinestro Corps member from using it on a Green Lantern, it doesn’t completely deactivate the ring’s powers. So if Soranik is being mind controlled somehow, it’s logical that her ring can still do so despite being partly deactivated.
